The Irish in Us is a 1935 film starring James Cagney, Pat O'Brien, and Olivia de Havilland.
The movie involves a cop (O'Brien) who wants his boxing promoter brother (Cagney) to acquire a more dependable job in order to support their mother when the cop marries his girlfriend (de Havilland). When the cop's girlfriend meets her fiance's charismatic brother, however, she promptly falls for him, complicating matters enormously. Earl Baldwin wrote the screenplay from a story by Frank Orsatti. The supporting cast includes Frank McHugh, Allen Jenkins, and J. Farrell MacDonald, and the movie was directed by Lloyd Bacon.
